The S031 Construction Site Safety Management NPORS Accredited training course is designed for individuals aspiring to shoulder the crucial responsibilities of safety management on construction sites. Over five days, current or aspiring Site Managers will be introduced to their legal obligations concerning health, safety, welfare, and environmental matters.

- Deep understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and its application on construction sites, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of Risk Management principles, including conducting Risk Assessments and developing Safe Systems of Work.
- Skills to manage and control hazards specific to construction, including working at heights, excavation, and heavy machinery operations.
- Techniques for incident investigation and corrective action planning to improve safety practices.
- Ability to implement effective emergency response procedures for various construction-related incidents.
- Leadership and communication skills essential for promoting a culture of safety and ensuring team adherence to safety protocols.

Ideal for those currently in or preparing for management roles, this course is also valuable for anyone needing a thorough understanding of the legal responsibilities tied to their work activities.
Assessment
This highly interactive course employs various teaching methods, including case studies, classroom discussions, group activities, and individual/group presentations. Continuous assessment is conducted, and participants are required to complete a written test comprising 25 open questions that demand concise written responses. Each question carries a maximum of 4 marks, and a minimum of 80% is required to achieve a Pass Mark.
Entry Requirements
To enrol in this course, participants must possess a good level of English language proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehension. Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns. Additionally, valid identification, such as a copy of your passport or driver’s license, must be provided on the first day of the course. Attendance for the full duration of the course is mandatory. Failure to attend the entire course will require re-enrollment at an additional cost.
Additional Information
For those seeking a CSCS logo on their operator card, please note that a Health, Safety, & Environment Test must have been passed within the last two years.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded the S031 Construction Site Safety Management NPORS certificate. This certification must be renewed every five years by attending a Refresher course, which must be completed before the current certificate expires.

Your days will include a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon, you will also be allowed a 30 minute break for lunch.
